The black hole is in great condition considering its vintage and plays beautifully. Black hole is a cult favorite that is very hard to find as collectors do not sell them. Its outer space theme is loved by all. Along with haunted house, this pinball was one of the big two Gottlieb pinball’s produced in the eighties and was hugely popular then and now. With a full wide body playfield magnificently themed and an underground secondary playfield this pinball was full of targets to shoot for. After working the ball throughout the upper layer, setting up the lower level, players would shoot for the gravity hole and try to knock down all the targets for big bonuses and multipliers ensure the return gate was open before reentry to the upper playfield or the ball would be lost. Balls can be captured and held until multiball is achieved. Several ball lock areas are spread around the machine. Great fun from start to finish, with a haunting background soundtrack and speech adding to the atmosphere. This machine has been fully serviced, re rubbered and globed and works 100%. We have deliberately not touched the cabinet up to keep its original arcade feel, but we can upon request detail the cabinet. Note the back glass is the European export glass without rotation. It is the original black hole glass and rarer than the standard glass. Conditional report: Cabinet is 8 with the usual scratches pertinent to all machines of this age. Backglass is very good and clean with no visible flaking. 8.5-9 Playfield is very good for its age and complete with no large wear areas. There is some age appearence to a section of the upper playfield but it is secure and just has a slight aged look to it. Some slight wear to edges etc. Overall artwork is very good and sound. Please see images. Bumpers all have their original themed caps on them. All drop targets are complete unbroken and have their original decals on them (important). All displays are good and work perfectly including the playfield display. Machine has been fully rerubbered and globed Machine has been fully stripped waxed and polished. All plastics are complete, some have been chipped or small sections broken, please see images. Overall the look is good. Lockdown bar is excellent. Side rails are very good This unit has its speech chip working perfectly and sound board works perfectly. The front apron is excellent (as often these can be in bad condition on Black holes) Legs are in very good condition. Pinball has been reconditioned by our fully qualified techs and works perfectly.
